Usually people find their purpose, life path or mission as a result of a dramatic life changing event or events. Often the purpose changes as a person matures or can run concurrently as a primary or secondary mission. If you have not had such a “that’s it!” experience and are still unclear about your purpose, there are techniques to help you clarify and focus on a life path that is in harmony with your inner-self and will enable you to live a fulfilled experience.

When I interviewed for my first jobs, I was always stumped by the question, “what do you want to be doing in ten years?” I didn’t have a clue! I soon learned that having a nine to five job just to pay the expenses wasn’t enough. I needed to be doing something that benefitted a cause in which I believed strongly.........something that would hold my interest because it was my passion, and I could put my heart and soul into the achievement of a goal.

I had no idea that both my primary and secondary purpose would unfold when I bought a house and met the cat who had been left behind when his elderly person was rushed to a hospital, and because of her ill health, was forced to sell her home.

Sadeeky was a black and white tuxedo cat and had lived on the back porch of the abandoned house for six months during the coldest winter of the century. In his desperate cat way, Sadeeky begged for help. Through his experience I could feel the pain of homeless cats and was motivated to work towards a solution of the problem by starting a non-profit humane organization. During the next eleven years Sadeeky was my inspiration to work tirelessly towards rescuing, neutering, and adopting hundreds of stray cats and kittens.

My dream to build a cageless no-kill cat shelter and adoption center was achieved when we built the Sadeeky House in Northern Virginia. The Sadeeky House is maintained by donations, and is a lasting tribute to the cat that has been my inspiration and was a profound influence on many cat and human lives. The humane society that was founded because of his plight served the mentally ill and elderly with a visiting pet program. There was humane education for children, a pet food pantry for low income pet-owners, and of course, the most important program was cat rescue and adoption.

Sadeeky’s project was a full time and sometimes stressful endeavor. I had no idea about the next lesson he had in store for me. Sadeeky, my guide and beloved companion was diagnosed with untreatable cancer. The allopathic vets all told me to keep him comfortable and prepare for the worst. Pursuit of a more positive prognosis became an obsession. I turned to holistic treatment and researched all the natural remedies that I could find...........herbs, imaging, vitamin therapy, Tellington Touch, homeopathy, flower essences, acupuncture, chiropractic, and the one that became my favorite, ESSENTIAL OILS.

Sadeeky made a remarkable recovery; the allopathic vets were dumfounded and confused. This went against everything they had ever been taught. I knew my next mission was to teach pet-owners everything I had learned about holistic pet care. To accomplish this I hosted the country’s first Natural Pet Care Expo. It was such a hit that I did another one the next year and my career as a holistic health coach took off like a rocket. People were amazed that remedies like acupuncture were available for animals and were hungry for more information. I found it interesting that many of the exhibitors (fifty from all over the country) started their holistic pet business because of an experience much like mine.

I watched members of the audience taking notes and hanging on to every word as holistic vets, nutritionists, and essential oil experts made presentations on their speciality. They wanted as much information as we could provide on ways to take care of their pets, themselves and their families. I had found my calling and Sadeeky had done it once again! My life purpose was to teach people about a holistic lifestyle and help them achieve abundance in all areas of life and health.... physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and financial.

Of all the different healing modalities I studied, essential oils seemed the most fascinating and in lots of ways the most effective. While most remedies supported either physical or emotional issues, essential oils encompassed every aspect of our being. These oils are the blood of the plant. Therapeutic quality oils contain the life force energy of plants and have the highest frequency of any substance known to man. Since ancient times people have come to depend on oils for their ability to alleviate health concerns, increase vitality, promote a feeling of emotional well-being, expand spiritual horizons, and improve creativity and mental functioning. According to ancient texts, oils were used for every condition from gout to a “broken head” (referring to mental illness).

I had used herbal teas and tinctures for Sadeeky’s condition with good results (I had not heard about oils yet), but I have learned that oils are much more potent than dried herbs. Once dried, a herb only contains 3 to 5% of the essential oil which is the healing component. A drop of peppermint oil is equivalent to 28 cups of peppermint tea! Like most holistic health remedies, oils can be used for both people and animals. They are perfect for everybody because of their easy and non-invasive application. Inhalation brings about a positive response in a few seconds.

Due to my focus, the humane organization was successful, but my personal life was in shambles. Working for ten years as a full time volunteer had taken its toll. I was deeply in debt, had no income, was in an incompatible relationship and was overwhelmed by the feeling that life was one big struggle. Clearly before I could help others, I had to work on myself.

Because of their high vibration, oils are the ideal tool to enhance meditation. They generate positive energy and activate the “law of attraction” which I used, sometimes unknowingly, to completely change my life. Within two years, I became financially self-sufficient, attracted three soulmates, (am now happily married to one of them), paid off all my debts and began living the kind of life that most people only see in their dreams. I probably could have done it in less time, if I had known then what I know now about manifesting abundance.

I have a beautiful house in the mountains where I run my home-based business, while enjoying my family and the lovely natural surroundings. I always wake up feeling great and looking forward to the new day! I enjoy good health and feel exhilarated to share my secret with others.

My life purpose is to empower others to reach their highest potential, attain excellent health, manifest their dreams, and create the life they desire and deserve through the Quantum Business Building and Life Enrichment Technique. This abundance attracting exercise is fun and simple, and uses essential oils to enhance the power of positive thoughts. I am at this wonderful place in my life...........all because of a cat!
