Hyperborea in our modern world appears like a legend, but some believe it is not and think that very long time ago, after the destruction of Atlantis, the elite part of the Atlantean civilization hid itself in the underground where it has stayed until now and the UFO phenomenon - referenced throughout our history - actually comes from here (the underground).

Along with Atlantis, which was destroyed, ancient chroniclers mention another mysterious world - Hyperborea. It is an "enigmatic land" documented by Herodotus, the father of European history. The Hollow Earth Theory assumes that Hyperboreans still exists in the underground. Nazis, too, believed in the existence of Hyperboreans and wanted to contact them.

If in the beginning of the 20th century you told someone that humankind would be able to fly to the moon, or that people would communicate with "miraculous boxes" all over world, 95% of them would ridicule you, although the beginning of the 20th century is not that far away. In the diary of admiral Byrd (from his expedition to Antarctica, where he met a mysterious Master in the underground) it is written: "Now you have been chosen to be witness here that our world does exist. You see, our Culture and Science is many thousands of years beyond your race, Admiral." Or, "You are in the domain of the Arianni, the Inner World of the Earth."

Scientists today describe the UKNOWN by things they know and they often think and speak as those 95% of people in 1900. Present science has on records the result of drilling made by Soviets. It began in 1970 and reached 12,261 meters (40,230 ft) in 1989. The drill still remains to be the deepest hole ever made.

We have no proof for a statement that our Earth is hollow, as no film staff has ever been there, but various larger cavities may be definitely present in it. For example, a scientific website Livescience.com writes about an underground ocean found deep under the Asian surface. Another interesting thing is the lake Vostok, which was found by Russian scientists under the surface of Antarctica some 4000 meters under the surface.

In advocating their assumptions, followers of the Hollow Earth Theory also point to the fact that the United States federal law mandates federal permits whenever anybody decides to explore any underground region.

I do not know how credible is the source the Finnish newspaper Ammenusastia used for its article that tells that Soviet scientists, when drilling into the earth, were astonished, as they heard millions of voices with screams deep in the earth. A Soviet scientist doctor Azzacove said that, "We drilled through the gates of Hell! As a communist, I don’t believe in heaven or the Bible but as a scientist I now believe in hell."

Search youtube.com with the "azzacove" keyword and listen. Voices from hell are not for sensitive people and come from the cold war times (Siberia, Soviet Union).

In Slovakia, we have a very weird story about a moonshaft mentioned by man called Antonin Horak. His article first appeared in a speleological newsletter later in USA where he emigrated. Mr. Horak had joined local (Czechoslovakia) anti-Nazi movement in World War II and when Germans wounded him, he needed to hide himself. A man took him to a cave near Zdiar. Mr. Horak explored the cave a little, but going deeper he found an artificially made shaft of a crescent (moon) shape with no ending. The shaft was black. Jacques Bergier, a famous French mystery writer, wrote about the Horak"s story and described it as one of the biggest miracles waiting for its discovery.

Hyperborea is part of Greek mythology. Pliny, Herodotus, as well as Virgil and Cicero described it. They wrote that Hyperboreans lived to the age of one thousand years and enjoyed lives in absolute happiness. These mythical people lived somewhere in the north (of Thrace). When translated, Hyperborea is the land Behind (Hyper) the North Wind (Boreas).

In Hyperborea, the sun was shining twenty-four hours. A famous Greek (lyric) poet, Pindarus, glorifies Hyperborea in his poem: Neither disease nor bitter old age is mixed in their sacred blood; far from labor and battle they live.
