Reincarnation The Neverending Journey
In Reincarnation The Neverending Journey an attempt is made to explore the conundrum of our existence. An existence that spans yesterday, today and even tomorrow. Questions surrounding the existence of the soul and our connections to the physical world, the fundamental mechanisms and the processes by which reincarnation operates through time, are carefully examined. Plausible revelations on memories and karma and their intrinsic connections to our lives today and tomorrow are explored. It is a Neverending Journey.. Your Neverending Journey....

Whilst there is much that can be said about the use of Runes and the true value that each of the runes hold, it is fairly important for your to get any benefit from Runes that you are able to translate your language into its Rune representation, as this is where a substantial portion of the Runes' power lies.

So to make the easier here is the full Rune alphabet :

. (full stop)

(space between words)

As you will likely notice there seems to be some letters missing which makes it difficult to translate exactly. To solve this problem you may use phonetic equivalents

Racing - translate phonetically to rasing which will be :

On the issue of following an exact translation versus phonetic only, there seems to be two schools of thought, each with their own merits :

  • Translate as exact as you can.

(In other words translate letter for letter, even if letters are repeated)

eg. Letter :

  • Translate phonetically where possible.

(In other words translate phonetically only and leave out repetition)

eg. Letter : becomes -> leter :

Having considered both and having used Runes on practice, there are a few issue which I consider .

  1. Magic is not for lazy people, so I prefer the exact translation.
  2. I do not want to loose any of the magic value of the word, and leaving letters out, even repeated letters, does that.
  3. Of course there are instances where you have no choice but to go phonetic due to a lack of Runic representations not existing for all the letters in the normal english alphabet. In those instance using the phonetic equivalent is not likely to change the spoken word even when translated back. So in this instance I would only use a phonetic equivalent if translation back into written english does not change the spoken word.
  4. Names are often used in magic for identification purposes, and as such even if you choose to stick to the phonetic representation only, I would suggest that at least names are translated as exact as possible.
  5. Of course it is up to you as a practitioner how you use this as the intent of what you do will likely have the largest impact on the results, and not exactness of the translation.

To space words use the spacer, and of course the full stop to end the sentence.

Eg. Let it be. - translates as :

Of interest perhaps is that some schools of thought are that you need not use the spacers nor the full stop, and whilst I can not find any magical reason why this would not be acceptable, I do believe the point of translations are for reading, and without spacers this would make reading extremely difficult, so using it is up to you.

As a last word on translations, traditionally all runic representations are done in red. So preferably use red ink/ paint, and for your more die hard practitioners even blood is an acceptable medium for this purpose. This is however up to you, as long as you try to stick to red whenever possible.

Of course it is important to remember never to underestimate the magical value of any ancient form, so use with care.
