Saturn Picking on Uranus and Neptune
April 8 through July 29, 2010
Get ready for little projects to become enormous, dreams to become restless, feelings of lethargy, and major mishaps. The three outer most planets (according to astronomy), Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune are going to be at a major standoff upsetting most of our Spring and early Summer. These big giants move very slowly, and their aspects can often last from a few weeks to a few months.
Saturn will be moving to an incompatible (but not conflicted) place with Neptune (a quincunx) early in April. Saturn is our discipline, and Neptune is our creativity. So, this aspect may stifle our dreams, intuitions, and imaginations. The same time Saturn is sneaking up on Neptune, he will be coming to a major standoff (an opposition) with Uranus. Uranus is the shocking planet and can bring the unexpected. These two planets facing off will bring frustration, mistrust, and accidents.
Luckily, these aspects will not hang over us constantly, every day they are happening. Outer planetary aspects are usually more subtle, intermittent, and at a subconscious level. Its not likely that we will go through weeks of hell, but there will be 1 or 2 days somewhere in there that will knock us on our butts, especially with the Saturn-Uranus opposition.
Saturn and Uranus have been at an opposition since October 2008, but because of their retrogrades the opposition has been waving in and out. We have already experienced 3 peaks of this opposition, and this will be our 4th of 5 peaks total. The last time these 2 guys were at a tight opposition was September 2009. The Saturn-Uranus opposition will actually run from April 9th through June 4th, but we will feel the bulk of it around the last 2 weeks of April. That is when accidents will be most likely, and the frustration will be at it"s highest.
Saturn inconjunct (quincunx) Neptune will be a minor aspect compared to Saturn"s battle with Uranus. This aspect is very likely to affect us on a subconscious level with Neptune being the ruler of the subconscious. We may find that nightmares are more frequent, or we may notice that our creative urges are flat. Addictions may also become more prevalent. This aspect will begin on April 8th and ends on July 29th with 2 peaks in the middle (because Saturn will be turning from retrograde to direct in the process). We will feel the brunt of this aspect during the first week of May and then again during the last week of June in tandem with the lunar eclipse.
These aspects are all going to be hanging around 28 ½ degrees with Saturn in Virgo, Uranus in Pisces, and Neptune in Aquarius. Now its time to get out your natal charts and see how this aspect is going to impact you. Pay most attention to Saturn and Uranus. If Saturn and Uranus are conjunct any of your power points (ascendant, nadir, descendant, or mid-heaven), call me! But seriously, get ready for a tug of war in your life. If you have any planets on the cusp between Sagittarius and Capricorn or on the cusp between Gemini and Cancer, then you"ve got a T-square, and things could get extra difficult.
So long as we use caution, think before we act, take stress breaks, and take care of ourselves, we should get though this aspect without too much trouble. I"ve found its best to be ready to help those who were not as well informed and pushed the envelope a little too hard.
