Hollow Earth Theory is based upon ancient legends (about Nagas, snake gods, etc.) that our Earth is hollow, or at least endowed with large cavities wherein higher intelligent beings may live. This theory has a large number of supporters who claim that UFO is the result of this civilization.

Few of these legends are:

Legends of Hopi Indians

Hopis (Indians in USA) claim that they came here from the underground where they had been placed before to be protected from great flood by "Spider Woman".

Hindu legends

Mahabali was a king of the Indian region presently known as Kerala (the Indian southern state bordering with Tamil Nadu), who stands behind the most popular Onam legend, which is a festival in celebration of King Mahabali, who returns to the state of Kerala from underground every year. It was Lord Vishnu who sent Mahabali to the underground.

Greek legends

Hyperborea is a mythical terra incognita supposed to have existed somewhere far in the north, as the Greek historian Herodotus wrote. People from Hyperborea had supposedly settled Atlantis. It is allegedly the "land of gods". Herodotus writes that diseases did not affect people of this miraculous land and (in agreement with writings of other ancient personages) they lived up to age of one thousand years.

Literature

Vril is a secret energy known in mystic waters under various names such as Holy Spirit, Mana, Prana, Philosophers" Stone, Chi, Kundalini, Ilu or Orgone... The term Vril comes from a very interesting person. Edward Bulwer-Lytton was a playwright, poet and politician (1803-1873). He wrote a book (a kind of a utopia similar to Francis Bacon"s New Atlantis) entitled The Coming Race where he describes a very advanced master race living in the underground, which the author had visited while exploring mines with his friend. The book is written so persuasively that many readers started to believe it had really happened. In addition, it also inspired several people and became a basis for few secret societies. The book is freely available in the Gutenberg "free book project" on the Internet.

Olaf Jansen, a fisherman from Norway, after going astray in the sea, visited the underground world too. The book entitled "Smoky God", or "A Voyage To The Inner World" by W. G. Emerson, describes the underworld as a domain inhabited by intelligent beings with very advanced technology: http://www.ourhollowearth.com/SmokyGod.htm

Admiral Byrd was one of the greatest US military explorers. He was an excellent voyager, pilot, and air instructor. This man also became famous with his "secret diary", the origin of which cannot be proved with absolute confidence, as US military bodies are not opened to public questioning. This diary contains description of exploration flight over the North Pole and here are some excerpts:

.They are close enough now to see the markings on them. It is a type of Swastika!!!

...We descend downward for some moments, the machine stops, and the door lifts silently upward! We then proceed down a long hallway that is lit by a rose-colored light that seems to be emanating from the very walls themselves! One of the beings motions for us to stop before a great door. Over the door is an inscription that I cannot read. The great door slides noiselessly open and I am beckoned to enter. One of my hosts speaks. "Have no fear, Admiral, you are to have an audience with the Master..."
"We have let you enter here because you are of noble character and well-known on the Surface World, Admiral." Surface World, I half-gasp under my breath! "Yes," the Master replies with a smile, "you are in the domain of the Arianni, the Inner World of the Earth.

Abuse

Top Nazi representatives were interested in occult and magic. They built their beliefs upon something like Greeks - but instead of Titans they spoke of Teutons, an ancient Germanic tribe. Greek and Roman authors had documented this tribe, too, with statements that they had migrated from the north somewhere to the river Danube some hundred years before Christ. Nazi occultists (secret society Vril, Thule) considered this tribe to be the proto-Germanic one of the so-called "pure Aryan nature". They said that Teutons" race purity had weakened as a consequence of the tribe members copulating with other tribes. In many encyclopedias Teutons are often referred to as "magic" or "occult" people, where art of sorcery, especially practiced by women, predominated over any other tribe in the ancient past of Europe. Nazis took Svastika as their symbol because they believed it had been left here as a mark of this Super Race. However, it was abuse of svastika, as it is a symbol of good life and has been used till now in Hinduism and Buddhism.

A very strong medium of the secret Vril society was Maria Orsitsch or Orsic (written differently, as it is a Croatian name) and she was first mentioned in a book written by Bergier and Pauwels: "Aufbruch ins dritte Jahrtausend: von der Zukunft der phantastischen Vernunft". The Vril society was purely a female group and Maria had allegedly contacts with extraterrestrials. But it was not the only secret group mentioned in reference to history of Germanic secret movements. DHvSS (in German: Die Herren vom Schwarzen Stein) is a group of "men of black stone" the origin of which goes back to medieval Europe when Templars first visited the Orient. Their central belief concentrated on the magical black stone Ilu.

Alleged entrances to Agartha

Agartha is the name of the underground world and Shambala its alleged capitol.
- Mato Grosso, Brazil
- Kentucky, Mommoth Cave, USA
- Manaus, Brazil
- Igua Waterfalls, Argentine/Brazil
- Mount Epomeo, Italy
- Himalayas, Tibet, also Mount Kailash, the Shiva"s mountain
- Rama, India
- Giza Pyramid
- the North and South Pole
- Mount Shasta, California

The Hollow Earth Theory is very esoteric and most fantastic in nature, and it attracts many supporters from all over the world.
