When was the last time you spent some real quality time by going within?

Have you noticed the pace of things changing rapidly with lots of upsets around you?

It"s not just you - it"s happening for all of us. And, what"s most important is not trying to make sense of it, but rather to sustain balance and centeredness. IUnderstandably, that"s sometimes much easier said than done. What is more important however, is that you are able to connect with your inner self.

Do you even know the place where inner bliss dwells?

It’s actually there, patiently within waiting for you to connect.

Connect With Your Mind

Your mind is that non physical part of yourself. It reaches far beyond the limits of your physical brain. It is your consciousness and your brain is the physical translator of your consciousness.

So step outside your brain into your mind. Tell your brain; “Shsh! It’s meditation time!”

Focus Away From Busy-ness

Begin to focus your mind away from the activities of the day, turning your attention inwards to the peaceful core of your inner being. Then start to think of a place, time or event that gave you the feeling of being in a sanctuary.

Create a ‘Sanctuary’ Within

What does the word ‘sanctuary’ mean to you? Is it a place? Is it a feeling? Or is it a state of mind? Or is it a combination of all of that?

However you picture or experience that, it is the state of feeling utterly safe, content and at peace. The word ‘sanctuary’ reflects the idea of a refuge or safe haven. It refers to a state of awareness that is sheltered from the activities or business of ‘being’. So, rather than a doing activity. Being is infinite consciousness without a focus upon any specific activity.

Just Being

Being doesn’t have anything to do with doing. It’s a state of just being – Infinite Being. And, it already is everything. It’s not out there, external to you. Infinite Being encompasses of you and all consciousness. It includes all creation. You are that – consciousness. You are a part of everything else in existence.

Your True Nature

Consider the words “I am”. Your true nature is all consciousness. Affirm your innermost identity as the ultimate, infinite consciousness. The most powerful thing you can tell yourself is, “I am Infinite Being”.

This is a statement of your oneness and ultimate potential with the Source of all life. You are one with the consciousness from which all life sprang. Everything in manifestation is one with that universal consciousness. Affirm your ultimate potential - the results are worth the effort.

Your inner self knows the meaning of the words and resonates in joy with their exact and literal truth. Every time you affirm your true nature, you connect with Infinite Being.

Going Inside Your Sanctuary

Sitting upright in a chair, close your eyes, and start looking for the quiet space within. Imagine being in your sanctuary within your mind. What does it look like? Let yourself unwind. Surrender to precious moments of peace.

Focus your attention on the slow, even flow of your breath as it passes in and out of your nostrils.

As you breathe each in-breath, mentally repeat the affirmation “I am Infinite Being.” Notice how your body feels as you connect with ‘Just Being’. Notice how it feels to connect to “All That Is”.

As thoughts arise (and they will) notice them. Patiently set them inside a bubble and pop the bubble. Allow yourself to experience this inner sanctuary of stillness and peace for 15-20 minutes daily.

Enhancing Your Meditations

Reserve a small space in a quiet room for your meditation. It also helps to always use the same chair. Have a pen and notepad handy to jot down anything that comes to mind during your meditation. Wear comfortable clothing. A small clock or timer helps to not lose track of time.

Make Meditation Your Day’s First Priority

The best investment of your time each day is to spend 20 minutes in meditation. The easiest habit to adopt is one where it’s the first activity of the day. So make it part of your daily routine.to reinforce it’s many positive effects that will enhance daily living.
