The evolution of spirit

Now that we are getting better equipped to fully comprehend the principles of the universe we are able to start looking at the spiritual impact this has.

So.. Just the same as the physical universe creates environments which changes, improves, reviews physical bodies in that environment, the soul is subjected to the same evolutionary strains. Our spirit (soul) is also a constantly evolving energy. Essentially looking to grow as much as possible (gain more insight, knowledge and mass). In essence our soul is basically a very large "ball" of memories. It has no interpretative ability on its own, and growth in this instance is measured in quantity of memories accumulated.

Now since at the core of the universe there is only energy, and you are essentially only that, the physical body is a very useful tool with which to evolve the spirit, as the physical body gives you the ability to think, and figure things out, instead of simply remembering (gives you interpretive ability). If you can think, and you are in a body, you can create new memories, through simple life experience, or by purposefully seeking this out. As humans we are able to purposefully seek the development of memories. A task which, whilst possible in spirit form, is infinitely more difficult to achieve.

Thinking of animals. They do not have the ability to think and debate (self analyse), the being (the soul of the animal) has to rely simply on natural physical evolution, for spiritual evolution. Science suggest that in this, brain size to body size ratio is suggestively the basis on which a body / beings intelligence could be measured. And although this is clearly fact, it is also clear that the higher the brain size versus body size ratio, the more intelligent / evolved being can occupy this body. There is one very important point that comes from this. Our soul needs our body to grow, at least up to a point. It can then be said that the more evolved the body, the more evolved a soul it can host.

So are we evolving anywhere? Well this is really a circle as is everything in life. The larger you grow, the more you become the divine whole, until you are the whole, at which point you start again, through the physical single celled organism, all the way up the chain, and back again. And although this is a bit of a fatalistic approach, this is a process which is ongoing and unstoppable. The speed at which you evolve is somewhat controlled by you, if you chose. This however becomes of really lesser importance if the true purpose is realized.

So in conclusion it seems clear that, as in the physical universe, the spirit also "desires" to evolve and grow. This is done through the accumulation of knowledge and memories (over lifetimes). One of the simplest ways in which to achieve this, is for the spirit to occupy a physical universe body, which will grow the memories of the soul, irrespective of body desire or ability. Of course body ability will likely increase desire and similarly accelerate the growth of the spirit. As a last point it also seems clear that choice of body is significantly impacted upon by developmental level of spirit, and as such a body can only host a spirit which matches ability and developmental level.
