I am sharing a broader definition of what tantra is about.

Reincarnation The Neverending Journey
In Reincarnation The Neverending Journey an attempt is made to explore the conundrum of our existence. An existence that spans yesterday, today and even tomorrow. Questions surrounding the existence of the soul and our connections to the physical world, the fundamental mechanisms and the processes by which reincarnation operates through time, are carefully examined. Plausible revelations on memories and karma and their intrinsic connections to our lives today and tomorrow are explored. It is a Neverending Journey.. Your Neverending Journey....

What would it feel like if you could embrace each sense fully and become one with it? How would it feel to live with such presence that you live in wonder and awe at the world you are living in?

Living from a tantric perspective is to live life fully and to embrace all aspects of it, without judgment. It is the path of yes, allowing you to receive everything that comes into your life.

Living tantrically is to allow what is… to flow more with what is actually happening rather than to resist it, and yet to know when to take action because you are so in tune with the energy of the situation or the person that you feel when the time is right.

The word Tantra is an umbrella for a vast body of information and way of being. It literally means, to expand, go into and to weave together. Although here in the West it is often associated with sex, in the East there are many forms of Tantra. There is Tibetan, Taoist and Hindu Tantra to name just a few. All of these forms are about much more than sex, although they can and often do incorporate sexuality within their teachings. Love making is only one aspect of Tantra.

Tantra is not a religion nor is it a dogma to be followed rigidly. Rather it’s principles are incorporated into an already existing body of information or religious teaching. Tantra itself had it’s origins over 6,000 years ago and has traveled over the world and been adapted to fit many other traditions. Therefore you can adapt any part of the teachings of tantra into your belief system if you wish.

To live a tantric lifestyle is really more about how you are being in your life rather than what you are doing. It is about how you are experiencing your life and relating with your environment as well as with the people in your life, whether it be in the boardroom or the bedroom.

Tantra is about art and mastery…. when we take the time to slow down, to really study and learn something well, whether it be flower arranging or love making. It is the dedication, presence and attention with which you do these things that make it artful, and in that, tantric.

If you wish to have a more tanric appoach to life you can:

Open more fully to being here now. Bring your awareness to everything you are doing, to all your senses and into every interaction. Savor the flavors, the smells, the beauty and the sounds of life itself. Let go of control and your agendas. Be willing to tune into the energetics of an interaction or situation and then allow yourself to flow with that energy rather than resist it. Embrace all that life brings to you without judging it good or bad, love all of your life . See life as an artist would, and what ever you are doing strive to do it with presence and in an artful way. Don"t take it all so seriously but rather have fun and enjoy the ride.
