Sun is the King and Moon is the Queen, as per Astrology, The Sun and Moon are not planets, but luminaries. They are very important lumninaries and are King Makers. Sun is one of the functional luminaries and is the King in the Government of the Almighty. Hence all regal qualities are attributed to this luminary. Amongst the Nine Revolving Heavens, Sun is the most powerful luminary in intrinsic strength. It is the King of the Solar Logos and is No1 in the celestial Govt. Kings are ruled by him. To the ancient Seers, the Sun was the external symbol of Absolute Realty, the Self. The Divine, the Lord is invisible, but His visible symbol was Sol, whose energy nourished the Universe. They called his three aspects, the Morning Sun, the Midday Sun and the Evening Sun, as the Trinitarian Unity, as Creator, Preserver and Destroyer Brahma swaroopa udaye Madhyanne thu sadasiva Astha kale thadha vishnu Trailokyam dinankarah He is the Creator, Brahma, while rising Siva, the Destroyer at Midday ! The Preserver Vishnu at Evening Soorya, Sol, is the visbile Deity ! He is the central point of the Solar system, as all planets traverse around him in elliptical orbits. He is the Guru, as in an ashram, all students revolve around the Guru. The term Gurutva for Gravity is derived from this allegory.

All planets revolve around Sol due to celestial gravity. The astronomer Aryabhata exclaimed ” Soorya Jagata Chakshu, guruthvakarshan ” ! The role of Sun in Horoscopy Political power is a reflex of economic power and as the the King of the Solar Logos, the Sun is capable of conferring great political power. A horoscope is considered powerful only if the luminaries, Sol and Moon, are powerful. He is a mild malefic in Astrologia Vedica. Solar Effects in the 12 Houses Sun in the Ascendant Sun in the Ascendant makes one valorous, with less hair. Will be cruel and lazy.He will be egoistic and anger-prone Will be lacking in patience and mercy. There are exceptions to the rule. If Aries is rising, Sun in the Ascendant, will make the native rich, versatile, educated and fame will grace the native . If Cancer is rising, will suffer from eye troubles. If Libra, will suffer from sorrow, poverty & loss of progeny. Sun in the Second House This position of the Sun is detrimental to wealth. Also less education. But will be liberal minded. Face may be afflicted. Will be taxed by the Government. All malefic planets in the second are adverse for wealth. Sun in the Third House Will be handsome and will be ready to sacrifice for his ideology. The enemies of the native will make a hasty retreat. Will be valorous and strong. This position of Sol is adverse for good relation with younger co-borns. Sun in the Fourth House Heart affliction cannot be ruled out. This position of the Sun is also detrimental to happiness. Also bad for landed properties, conveyances & relatives. Will be interested in the opposited sex. Will have many houses. Will harm paternal wealth. Will never have mental peace & contentment. Sun in the Fifth House High degree of intelligence will be conferred by this position. This is not good for progeny. Will be a traveler. This position is adverse for relationship with sons. Sun in the Sixth House Will be subjected to trouble from enemies and will have to face digestive tract disorders. Will have prosperity and enemies which are concomitant with prosperity. Will be famous and virtous. Will be victorious but will have to face enemy trouble. Will be a commander and will be skilled in combat. Will be a lord with a lot of subordinates. Sun in the Seventh House The native will be humiliated by women.

Marital happiness makes a strategic retreat. Ill health may torment the body at times. Body may be tormented by illhealth. Will be travelling a lot. Sun in the Eighth House The native will have to face sorrows and mental tension. Will be fastidious and will be egoistic.Will have to strive hard for success. Sun in the Ninth House This position of Sol is detrimentlal to father, despite the native having wealth, relatives and sons. Devotion to preceptors is guaranteed, which is good for spiritual success. May harm the father.Will be devoid of Dharma. Will be a misogynist. Sun in the Tenth House Royal power can be conferred by this combination. Good education graces the native.Conveyances and house will be bestowed by the dominance of Sol on the Meridien. Sun in the Eleventh House Wealth can be conferred by this position of Sol. Will have sub- ordinates and longevity. And good professional skill. Prosperity will grace the native. Sun in the Twelfth House Eyes may be affected and this position of Sol is not good for wealth. May turn against father. Sun in the House of Loss indicates loss and fall from position.
