The Principle of Vibration as taught by Hermes Trismegistus, the father of occult knowledge, is that “Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates.” This principle as well as six others offered by The Three Intitates in The Kybalion, are the fundamental truths that weave the meeting ground for science, religion and the occult. Even the most rudimentary knowledge of this principle allows a novice to dance in the fields of subtle energy.|
Emotions, sound, and colors as well as physical matter are energy. Each has its own vibratory rate. From the CREATIVE FORCE, which is Pure Spirit, down to the densest form of Matter, all is in vibration; the higher the vibration, the higher the position on the scale. Colors vary in a rainbow because of different light frequency. A rainbow has no defined border and continues infinitely beyond what our eyes can realize.
The vibration of Spirit is at such a rate of intensity and speed that it, like the extended colors of the rainbow are almost invisible to most human eyes. At the other end of the scale are dense forms of matter whose vibrations are so low that they seem to be at rest as with stones and crystals. The Levels of Consciousness are also a measurement of these vibrations only within the Mental Plane. All of these need to be considered in ritual and ceremony.
Now add to that first truth another principle the one of Polarity. It states “Everything is dual; everything has poles; like and unlike are the same.” Bewildering as this sounds it is only its simplicity that makes it seem confusing. Take for example Love and Hate. They are opposites, true? Yet in an instance one can become the other; which lesser degree of love is hate since the same passion that fires one, fires the other. If you get into an airplane and fly east, how long do you need to travel before you reach west?
Some minds may still be tangled in debate so let’s try one more: at what temperature does ice become water? Most will say 32 degrees but isn’t that the same temperature that water becomes ice? Ice and steam are each water only at dissimilar vibrations. If the mind can accept these two principles a student becomes the alchemist of all that surrounds him. However being a student is essential since the fields of energy are not a place to dance blindly.
Hawaiian Kahuna, “guardians of the mysteries,” recognize the vibration or mana in all life and use this wisdom to redirect forces of nature, divert tsunamis from population, or protect property from the flow of lava. I have personally seen an oasis of jungle paradise on the Big Island of Hawaii surrounded by acres of cooled black lava from the 1970’s flow. It is an impressive testimony to the effectiveness of recognizing or honoring forces of nature and the spirit entities that exists as part of them.
The Principles of Vibration and Polarity along with a small knowledge of anatomy and a smattering of physics make possible the miracle of healing broken bones overnight as practiced by the aborigines of Australia and others.
The effectiveness of a blessing comes by lifting the spirit’s vibration from a heavier attachment of denser energy. This channeling is the basis of energy healing as in taught in Hands of Light, Reiki, or other modalities. The most difficult hurdle to overcome is to resist delusion by society in believing the physical world is solid. Prophets of old in many scriptures have warned against placing importance in the physical realm. Understanding the universal laws of Vibration and Polarity allows us to see past that realm.
So, what is the practicable application of these principles to your life if you do not live on a volcanic island?
1.MANIFESTING: Have a picture of something you would like to have in your life and make a daily practice of sitting quietly with it. Breathe deeply to build your energy field and IMAGINE you already have this. FEEL the pride or satisfaction of ownership. SEE yourself using and enjoying this thing. EXPERIENCE the happiness it will bring you as your life and the lives of others are improved by your having this.
2.MANIFESTING MONEY: Consider what you need money for and the amount needed. This can be for a vacation, pay off a credit card, or any use that will not deliberately hurt another. Take an envelope and hold it between your hands and call on the Universe to bless the envelope to contain the amount you want or greater by the deadline you have chosen. Write the date of the deadline on the envelope. Also commit to what effort you will offer in assisting in your belief. This is because most humans do not have the belief system to see themselves as worthy of something they do not have…otherwise we would already have it. We are used to bargaining. So what effort will you add that opens an extra avenue of income; babysitting, lawn moving, tutoring? Put the envelope in a place that you set as sacred and each time money comes to you outside your norm, place it in the envelope. DO NOT count the money until the date written on the envelope.
3.HEALING RELATIONSHIP PROBLEMS: Imagine a scale like thermometer with PEACE at the top and PAIN at the bottom. Now, sit quietly, take a deep breath and see where you would find yourself on the scale. No matter where you imagine yourself, have no judgment. Allow yourself to imagine the person to which
there is conflict. Dialog with this person in your mind and apologize for any actions or feelings that you have experienced that were not from Love. Offer a moment in which the other might respond. Next see yourself opening your heart and holding out your arms, inviting the other to you. As the person comes to the circle of your arms give yourself permission to move up the scale as close to PEACE as you will allow yourself. The PEACE must be part of you before it can be shared with another. Check in on the image 2 or 3 times a day to make sure that you have not slipped…if you have, give yourself permission to move up, always taking the other with you.
4.HEALING: Place your hands on the wound or area of dis-ease. Take a deep breath to build your energy. Create a connection between you and the Divine by word or image and see the area in total health. Give more attention to the image than your hands. What you SEE will become. You can use this same approach to bless your food or beverage in becoming an instrument for your healing.
In ancient times priests were the doctors. In many countries today, people go to their monks and priests for guidance or direction in bringing about changes in their lives. Their spiritual leaders are simply working within these principles. Einstein’s theory of Matter vs. Energy simply offered what the ancients already knew: All matter is energy. Energy is always in motion. Applying the Principle of Polarity can affect the vibratory rate to lighten the energy field for change.
